The exact number of MP3's, karaoke tracks and videos you can store will vary as each file will be a different size. But the above averages are a good guide, especially if you're compressing the video to MPEG4 format. We know larger drives will become affordable later on so we've designed the machine so it does not have to come back to the factory to have the hard drive upgraded. Any PC repair shop can upgrade the hard drive in ten minutes and the built in factory restore system will set up the new drive just as we shipped it out originally, so you don't have to reinstall the DJ software and operating system.
17" high brightness industrial touch screen
This superbly clear screen can be used in full sunlight. Also the industrial touch sensitive layer is a replaceable part, though we've never seen one broken in the field!
It's a joy to use, very intuitive. You'll be so used to the touch screen you'll be leaving fingerprints on your normal monitors ...
Video outputs are built in as standard - composite, svhs (NTSC and PAL), DVI, HDMI, VGA
That's every output covered! The VGA, DVI and HDMI outputs are high definition compatible too, just in case.
Audio inputs and outputs are genuine studio grade thanks to the M-Audio Delta 1010 internal card
The M-Audio Delta is an industry standard professional sound card used throughout the audio industry. This is a PCI card, not USB so it's permanently built inside the 00VJ. The inputs and outputs are all standard line level ready to connect directly to your mixer. If you're an audio producer or musician you'll appreciate the digital and MIDI breakout loom which is provided as standard. (Not required for DJ work though!)
Waterproof, illuminated industrial keyboard with backup mouse controller built in
This is heavy duty stuff. Very hard wearing, liquid proof and the letters are softly illuminated in red. The amount of illumination is easily controlled from the keyboard but it's never too bright, even in a darkened DJ booth.
Slot loading dual layer DVDRW optical drive, CDG compatible
Why slot loading? No mechanism to pop out and get damaged, very important when working in a restriced space. Modern DJ software can play audio CD's directly so having a drive built in is a useful facility. Plus you can rip your own audio and CDG discs directly into the 00VJ, we provide dbPoweramp software on the machine for this.
Removable bluetooth adapter
Easily removed if not needed. Plus you can use it on your own computers, no drivers are needed for Vista and Windows 7. Very handy if you want to receive pictures via Bluetooth at your gig.
3 x USB 2.0 sockets, firewire socket, Gigabit CAT5 network socket and standard IEC "kettle" mains socket
No problem if you mislay the mains lead. It's a standard IEC "kettle" type and is very common - and cheap - to replace.
Wi-fi wireless networking built in
Most venues have wifi these days so we've built wireless networking into the 00VJ.
Factory state restore system built in
When the system is ready to ship we take a backup of the hard drive onto this internal compact flash card. This is a complete image of the hard drive including all DJ software installed, licensed and ready to use. (Apart from your own audio, karaoke and video files of course.) In the event of fitting a new hard drive the backup system will set up the new hard drive just as we shipped it out - in around 20 minutes. No re-installing from disc and hunting around for license codes!
Customised operating system based on Windows 7 64 bit ( XP and Vista can also be supplied on request)
Hightly optimised operating system altered for the best audio and video performance. Special drivers are used and Windows has been extensively "tweaked". Don't worry, it's still a "normal" to use, most of the improvements are behind the scenes.
We also include Microsoft Security Essentials anti-virus which is running by default, so you can still use the 00VJ for legitimate internet use including downloading free updates to PCDJ software as they are released.
Also installed, licensed and ready to use is a full copy of dB Poweramp, a powerful CD conversion and MP3 editing tool.

- 18,979 MPEG4 videos ( assuming 100Mb each in MPEG4 format ) - that's a lot of video!
